Art in Churches walking tour

  • St Martin-in-the-Fields WC2N 4JH United Kingdom (map)

A+C MEMBERS ONLY - FREE

Join A+C Director, Laura Moffatt, for an afternoon of modern and contemporary art in central and north London churches, ending with drinks at the studio of Pauline Caulfield and a viewing of her ecclesiastical textiles.

Our tour will involve walking some distances and a couple of bus journeys so please wear comfortable shoes and bring a travel card.

We’ll meet at St Martin’s-in-the-Fields at 2pm and end at Fitzroy Road, NW1 by around 6.30pm.

Churches and artworks include:
works by Gehard Richter, Shirazek Houshiary and Brian Catling at St Martin’s-in-the-Fields
Jean Cocteau at Notre Dame, Leicester Square
New stained glass windows at St Patrick’s Soho
the A+C Award-winning installation HS, at St Michael’s Camden

Pauline Caulfield has generously invited us to end our tour by seeing her work in her home/studio; you can view her ecclesiastical textiles online at https://www.paulinecaulfield.com/ecclesiastical
